Youth Empowerment solution (YESO) is a non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian and development organization working in Somalia and founded 2009. . The organization was set up to address the social and economic problems facing youth and the protection the right of the children and women. YESO works to support youth, children and women, who have low income by offering income generating activities, microfinance support, skills training, livelihoods, free education, civic engagements, peace building, leadership and advocacy training, protection, human rights and health care. We also offer awareness raisings on key issues, such as: HIV/AIDS, FGM/C, Environment education and illegal immigration to the youth to make them aware of the dangers of these issues.
We have been in operation for the last 10 years and we have managed to implement a number of projects successful without any big challenge, all of our projects have been successful, this has been brought about by our good understanding of the area, our reputation and trust that we have built over years with the local communities. YESO has professional staff includes project staff, staff support and training instructors, YESO respected gender equity.
YESO has currently managed livelihood project which contains skill training for venerable people (Youth group’s young women and men) and provision of startup kits and grants both investment and job placement.
We have managed vocational skills centers which provide electricity, mobile repairing, cookery/nutrition, and Basic computer course, advanced IT/Computer course, financial accounting/management and tailoring skills and Business Skills Education.
